"Everyone's having fun at training"

After having worked with Ariël Jacobs and Filip De Wilde for 4 years, Anderlecht goalie Silvio Proto now has an entire new staff, with head coach Van den Brom and Max De Jong as personal trainer. "But I'm very pleased with them."


"Van den Brom makes sure that the hard training sessions are enjoyable. We train with the ball practically the whole time and he turns exercises into small competitions, so that every time there's a challenge. You can tell everyone's having a good time."

"I'm also very pleased with my personal trainer. We train a lot on speed and explosiveness. He prepares me for every move a goalkeeper could possibly have to make."

"Not my job to convince Biglia to stay"

Unlike other players, such as Lucas Biglia, Roland Juhasz or Matias Suarez, Silvio Proto is not yet bored with Anderlecht. He recently prolonged his contract for 5 seasons. "What can I say, I'm a loyal person," he jokes. "We hardly ever talk about transfers amongst each other. I haven't noticed anything different about Lucas (Biglia). He's a true professional."

"We get along well, but it's not my job to convince him to stay. I'm sure, however, if he's still here for the prelimenary rounds in the Champions League, he'll give it a 100%."
