In Liege, the transfer of Gohi Bi Cyriac to Anderlecht hit like a bomb. After already losing their other number one striker to that other rival: Club Bruges, they're left with little to go on. "But we can't blame Anderlecht."

"We knew something was going on from the beginning. In February, when we were negotiating an extension of Cyriac's contract, it was clear to us that things weren't right," says Francois De Sart from Standard.

"His manager, Mogi Bayat, wanted to put a clause in the contract, specifying that Cyriac could leave the club between 1 and 15 July, for a fixed price of 2 million (euros)."

"We don't blame Anderlecht for taking an opportunity which presented itself."
