This week, John van den Brom has been introduced as Anderlecht's new coach. The Dutchman eventually decided to leave his club Vitesse and join Anderlecht. The Mauves will pay a transfer fee to the Dutch club.

Van den Brom is known as a coach who prefers offensive football. He likes a build-up from the defence and mirrors himself to trainers such as Van Gaal.

For Van den Brom it will be his first assignment for a top club. A challenge he doesn't fear. Van den Brom is ambitious and announced to go for Champions League qualification and for a new Belgian title.

The new trainer didn't bring any assistents with him. Though the club made a few changs themselves: Assistant Garcia will be replaced by Gunther Van Handenhoven, 33 years old and currently active in Anderlecht's youth projects. Also the job as keeper trainer is still vacant. Guy Martens of Racing Genk already refused the job. Geert de Vlieger did the same yesterday.
