GAMES Anderlecht won their first match of the Play Off 1 with 1-0 against Racing Genk. It was not a great game, but this result was crucial to keep leader Club Bruges under pressure.

Anderlecht missed many key players and started off slowly. The first real scoring opportunity came after about 20 minutes through a header by Kara Mbodj. Anderlecht controled the match but Genk played well organized.

The second half started with a good chance for Djuricic. However, he was unfortunate. After about an hour, Anderlecht were more lucky. Praet threw the ball in the penalty area, goalie Bizot seemed to have the ball under control but after an incredible blunder it ended in the net: 1-0 for Anderlecht. Dodi Lukebakio still had two scoring opportunities, but the match ended with a 1-0 victory for Anderlecht.
