Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht won their 31st title this afternoon. The Mauves scored the 1-1 equalizer in the very last second from the penalty spot. This draw was enough to take the title.

Denis Odoi was fit to play against Bruges. Suarez was suspended and was replaced by Kanu.

Anderlecht took a very bad start and escaped from conceding a goal in the first few minutes. Bacca and Vadis were allowed to break through the home defence, but made the wrong choice in front of the goal. It took Anderlecht 15 minutes to restore the balance, but the pace was low and there were many bad passes. The players clearly suffered from the stress of being so close to the title. Jovanovic had one chance, but pushed the ball too far from his foot. The scoreline at half time was 0-0.

The second half showed a great fighting spirit of both teams. Anderlecht tried to force a victory and Bruges wanted to spoil Anderlecht's title party. Jovanovic appeared alone in front of goalkeeper Jorgacevic, but was stopped in his tracks just in time by the Brugian defence. On the other side, Bacca almost opened the score: Proto saved and Bacca missed the rebound. Not much later, the title festivities died out when Lestienne scored the 0-1 on a center of Bacca.

Jacobs brought De Sutter and Molins to try and force the breakthrough. It wasn't pretty, but Anderlecht fought back. Canesin dribbled through the defence, but his shot missed accuracy. A bit later, Biglia got the ball in the box, but his effort was stopped by the visiting goalie. Mbokani was sent through the defence, but the linesman flagged for off-side. Bacca suffered the same faith on the other side.

Terror and disappointment struck the Brussels' fans when the clock hit the 90th minute. With 3 minutes of stoppage time left, Anderlecht kept coming and Bruges won time. In the very last second, Mbokani was pushed down in the box and the ball went on the penalty spot. The stadium exploded and Gillet claimed the ball. He sent Jorgacevic to the wrong corner and scored the equalizer: 1-1! The game was over and Anderlecht could celebrate the title.
