Deschacht: "Referee was not on our side"

INTERVIEWS Olivier Deschacht was disappointed after the defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk and was also frustrated because of the referee. "We wanted to keep the pressure high, but that was difficult as the referee whistled for every single interference."

"The referee also gave away cards too quickly. He was clearly not on our side. That should not be an excuse though. We knew we had to play terrific against this team, but we were just good. However, I do not think Shakhtar were better than us."
