Mboyo: "Should have joined Anderlecht"

INTERVIEWS Ilombé Mboyo used to be one of the biggest talents in Belgium, but the last couple of seasons he is completely off the radar. He has not played at FC Sion yet and realizes he choose the wrong team back in 2013.

Mboyo had the chance to move to Racing Genk, Anderlecht and several foreign teams in 2013. "I should have joined Anderlecht", Mboyo realizes. "I had an agreement with Anderlecht but there was a discussion between Anderlecht and Ghent about my transfer fee."

"Anderlecht would have been the ideal team for me. They were playing the Champions League. That is way more attractive than playing for a small team in England."

"Pity Vanden Borre did not come"

Also his good friend Anthony Vanden Borre was close to a move to FC Sion. "It is a pity he did not come, because we are more than just friends. It made me very happy to see him back at the Anderlecht U21. Anderlecht is still the team of his heart."
