Anderlecht beat Westerlo with 3-1. That way, the Mauves stay 7 points ahead of Club Brugge that also won. Standard and Gent are losing terrain though. Standard lost, Gent had to be happy with a draw.

The first half was weak of both sides. Anderlecht monopolised the ball but didn't create a lot of chances. The few opportunities the Mauves had, were missed or stopped by the visiting goalie. Westerlo could't do much either, though two defensive mistakes offered them a chance to score. Yulu Matondo and Goor were unable to place the ball between the post.

The second half brought more of the same. But just before an hour into play, Anderlecht decided to end the game. First, the upright kept Suarez from scoring, but one minute later the Argentinian sent Mbokani through the Westerlo defence. He scored the opening goal.

Not much later Juhasz doubled the lead with a header. Anderlecht dropped the pace again and this led to a visiting goal two minutes before the end (scored by Felix Luz). But one minute later Jovanovic, who started on the bench for Kabangu, ended Westerlo's dreams: 3-1.
