INTERVIEWS Steven Defour is only 27 years old, but still he is one of the oldest players at Anderlecht. He also wants to become one of the leaders. "But the other players should accept that first, and the board should support me as well", Defour reacts.

"There are too many young players with only few experience", is Defour's analysis. "We also had many young players the last time we want to title, the only difference is that at that time there were experienced players who could guide them."

"The coach should be more strict with the youngsters", reacts Defour. "They should listen, and if they don't listen they should be punished. There are many misunderstandings because we have different generations within the squad. Youngsters have a different mentality, life is so much more comfortable for them. As an Anderlecht player, you should always want to win. However, at less important games the coach and the fans often need to wake us up."

Anthony Vanden Borre

The player also gave his opinion about a possible return of Anthony Vanden Borre, and is quite positive about a comeback.

"We shouldn't be friends to win as a team. I've known Vanden Borre for a long time now. If he says what he wants and he is willing to accept his punishment for what he did wrong, anything is possible."
