INTERVIEWS These are hard times for Anderlecht, which means that manager Herman Van Holsbeeck is also having a tough period. The manager reacts on what has been happening lately. "Conflicts are lurking within the squad", he states.

Besnik Hasi and the board are not popular with the fans at the moment. Anthony Vanden Borre was banned to the U21, Matias Suarez almost left the team and Youri Tielemans is being sidelined too often. "These players are so popular that the fans are willing to forgive anything. However, the board needs to remain objective", says Van Holsbeeck.

"You have to believe me when I say I am a Tielemans fan. He is an amazing talent but not consistent in his performance. We need to help him to find back his old level. There is no room for sentiment in these decisions."

"Conflicts in the team"

"I talked to the chairman and told him there are some conflicts within the team. Time will tell if we made the right decisions." One of those decisions is to continue with coach Besnik Hasi. "I know it is difficult to be the coach of Anderlecht. It is important for him to know we are supporting him. But I also know there is always a time to say goodbye."
