TRANSFERS - INTERVIEWS Anderlecht accomplished four incoming transfers this transfer window and manager Herman Van Holsbeeck calls the past period successful. Unfortunately, the transfer of Carlos Mané was rejected by his coach.

"The four signings were our plan A. I understand Djuricic and Büttner bring back memories to Marin and Rolando, but there are differences. Rolando hardly trained at Porto and Marin was very sensitive for injuries", says Van Holsbeeck.

"We picked out players who have something to prove. They should bring attitude and balance in the team, so we selected players from 24 to 26 years old."

Mané and Silva

Carlos Mané and Lucas Silva were also two targets of the Mauves. "We had an agreement for a transfer of Mané but the coach rejected the transfer at the very last moment. It's a pity, he would have been an added value for this competition", the manager reacted.

"We negotiated with Silva as well, he would have liked to come here, but by the time he made a decision we already signed Badji. Stéphane Badji was our plan A."
