How realistic is comeback Vanden Borre?

OTHER Manager Herman Van Holsbeeck and Anthony Vanden Borre both stated they are willing to talk about a return in the first team. However, is this realistic?

Vanden Borre's manager Fouaid Ben Kouider has been discussing with Anderlecht for a while now. "A return seems more and more likely", Ben Kouider says. "The fact that Anderlecht even make statements in the press is a positive sign."

EC still a target

Ben Kouider says both parties are negotiating on what conditions Vanden Borre can return. "Anderlecht impose certain conditions, but also Vanden Borre. Anderlecht want apologies but it is too early to say "yes" to that."

However, it is still likely Vanden Borre will leave Anderlecht this transfer window. "Betis Sevilla are interested. Anthony wants to be involved in a good project. He is still targeting the European Championship in France next summer."

Older player against return, for youngsters it does not matter

Vanden Borre will have a difficult time convincing the staff and his team mates to return. He says he still has many friends, except for one. However, it is clear that many players seem to have a problem with Vanden Borre. Proto, Deschacht and Defour are not delighted to welcome Vanden Borre again. They are tired of his behaviour.

It is also not sure whether Vanden Borre is physically ready to return. "He always continued training. He is very motivated and could be ready within a month", his manager claims.
