Anderlecht is still trying to increase the budget of the club. Manager Van Holsbeeck is hopeful something may change soon. He's being motivated by two reasons: UEFA financial fairplay and the stadium enlargement.

The manager explains: "In the 1980's, Anderlecht used to be top 15 of Europe when it comes to financial means. Now we are 250th... There are two reasons for this huge decline."

"First of all, there are many clubs in Europe that gain money with unacceptable financial business. For example: five years ago, Santander bought Tchité from us for five million. They still need to pay us a fair amount of money. Several clubs make debts that can't be repaid. Therefore, the UEFA financial fairplay, is a good thing for Belgian clubs. In Belgium, all clubs are financially healty."

"Secondly, we lack good infrastructure. It's a problem of our society. We all make mistakes there. Hopefully we can soon increase our stadium capacity, which is the best way to increase our budget."
