YOUTH Nicolas Frutos is this season's U21 coach at Anderlecht and left a great impression in his first weeks. "We were charmed. We can only have respect for such a coach", one of the players reacts.

Frutos sure looks motivated as a coach. Even before the first training session he knew everything about his players. Their names, favourite positions, etc. "This is not just a former Anderlecht player who wants to become a coach", one of the players states.

The Argentinian former striker is not the easiest. Some training sessions are taking three hours and are physical, tactical and technical. One a week he makes them train at 7.15 am, before school starts. That is a principle he took over from Argentina where kids also play football before going to school.

When the first squad had a training camp in La Manga, the Argentinian set up a training camp in Neerpede for three days. The players had to stay at Neerpede for eight hours a day. He is also giving individual training sessions for Fede Vico, who is completely out of the picture at Anderlecht. And Frutos wants to know everything about school results and food habits.

He is also working for the first team. He took the initiative to scout Charleroi last weekend and handed in an impressive report.
