Gillet: "I could have joined Ghent, Standard or Bruges"

INTERVIEWS Guillaume Gillet made since the beginning of the season clear that he wanted to leave Anderlecht and those words have not gone unnoticed. "I had offers from Russia and Turkey, but I was not interested to go there", Guillaume says.

"Even Udinese and LA Galaxy were interested in me", claims Gillet. "Only problem for the Americans was that they could only give me a limited salary. You never know, maybe some day I will move to the US. Life over there does interest me."

Some managers even wanted to transfer Gillet to other Belgian teams. "They asked me if I was interested in a move to Standard, Bruges or Ghent. I answered them I didn't want to move to an opponent of Anderlecht."
