Canesin Matos only hope after new defeat

Anderlecht third, Standard second and Genk the title. That's the final ranking. Genk played 1-1 against Standard, while Anderlecht got defeated at home against Lokeren (3-4).


The Mauves gave away the lead for three times. Wasilewski brought his team ahead and before the break also Kouyate scored. Meanwhile, Leko had scored on a free kick for Lokeren.

In the second half, a good Fevang eqalised for the visitors. Gillet brought Anderlecht back in the lead. But Lokeren began a little offensive towards the end. Tshimanga equalised and Fevang scored the winning goal in stoppage time.

The only hopeful performance came from young Brazilian Fernando Canesin Matos. The youngester played his first match for Anderlecht and was extremely dangerous. "He'll be in the A-team next season", declared Jacobs.
