"Steven or Youri? Doesn't matter"

INTERVIEWS The first game after the winter break is against AA Ghent on 17 January, and it is not sure yet whether that will be with or without the injured Steven Defour. If Defour is still out, Youri Tielemans will take over his position. Leander Dendoncker things Defour is an important player, but is also confident that Tielemans can replace him.

"Steven is one of the key players of the team and it will surely be difficult without him. But we are Anderlecht, we do not depend on one player. We should be able to win without him", Dendoncker says.

For Dendoncker, it does not make any difference to play with Steven Defour or Youri Tielemans. "On training, I am used to playing with both of them. It doesn't really matter to me. They are both different players."

The game against AA Ghent will sure be a difficult game. "AA Ghent are playing an impressive season again. However, we should show that we are still the best team in Belgium, and that we are better than them", Dendoncker states.
