Praet: "Anderlecht to decide"

INTERVIEWS With a contract running until the end of next season, Dennis Praet and Anderlecht are heading towards some important months. "It's up to Anderlecht. They either do me a proposal to extend my contract, or they let me leave in the summer period", Praet claims.

There were lots of rumours about a transfer last summer, but in the end nothing happened. "Anderlecht asked a transfer fee of 12 million Euros. That is too much for a player who didn't perform well in the second half of the season. I felt ready to make a move, but I am not disappointed I had to stay here. I am proud to play at Anderlecht."

"It is frustrating to see how football became big business, but I will also have to negotiate. I still have a contract for a year and a half. The longer I stay, the more I am able to negotiate. They either let me go this summer for a high transfer fee, or I can leave on a free transfer one year after. It is up to Anderlecht to make a move. In any case, I haven't heard anything from the board yet."
