INTERVIEWS For the first time since he was assigned co-manager of Anderlecht, Jo Van Biesbroeck agreed an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws and spoke about the new stadium. "This stadium should become a reference for the rest of Europe", he stated.

Van Biesbroeck has been working hard on the stadium case over the last couple of months. It only took him 24 days to make an official complaint at Ghelamco about a lack of participation in the entire project. "If we want to become the host of the stadium, it is quite logic we also need our say in this project", the manager spoke.

He has a clear view on this new stadium. "It should be revolutionary, unique for the fans, sponsors and VIPS. It is a true challenge to make this stadium a reference to other teams in Europe;" Because of the European Championship, time pressure is put onto the project. "2020 is the target date for the European Championship, not for this stadium", Van Biesbroeck rebounces. "It does not really matter if the stadium is ready in 2020 or 2021. However, it will become a problem if the entire project is cancelled. The Euro stadium is still our plan A."
