Pablo Montes Suarez died on Monday because of leukaemia. The 20 year old talent was born in the Spanish Gijon and was transfered three years ago from FC Brussels. His parents tell about his life that ended too soon:

"Pablo fought as hard as he could. But it was a battle he couldn't win... In the automn of 2009, a routine examination showed problems with his blood. The verdict was hard: blood cancer. Our world collapsed."

"After a threatment, the cancer was gone and Pablo started training again. Youth coach Walem compared him to Argentinian Riquelme because of his fast infiltrations and good overview. His dream was to reach the first team of Anderlecht. He came very close... but the illness returned, more aggressively than before."

"Pablo never wanted to face the end. He fought the illness as good as he could. Last week, he was phoned by David Villa of Barcelona. Villa also donated him a signed shirt. He was burried in that shirt. It's the way he would have wanted it."

"Recently we promised him a city trip to Madrid, to go see his favorite team: Real Madrid. (a silence falls) But he died before seeing his team play..."
