Anderlecht set AA Gent back in the race for the title. The Mauves were behind twice, but turned the tide in the last ten minutes and won 3-2. This way, Gent follow at eight points while Genk are at one point.

The play-offs begin in two weeks and the points are divided by two.

The first half was extremely bad. Bad passes, low pace and lack of creativity characterised Anderlecht's play. Luckily, Gent didn't manage to take advantage because their last pass never arrived. Both goalies remained unchallenged.

The second half started with Anderlecht in command. The Mauves put pressure on Gent and created chances. Though the goal fell on the other side. Bad defensive actions opened the door for Soumahoro to score. De Sutter equalised not much later. He turned himself free outside the box and placed the ball into the lower corner. Thijs brought AA Gent ahead again. The defence failed again, this time on a corner kick: 1-2.

Anderlecht still were able to react. The home side moved forward once more and created chances. Nine minutes before time, De Sutter equalised and just a few minutes later, Lukaku managed to push the ball into the goal: 3-2.
