GAMES Anderlecht still cannot win in Standard. The Mauves played an incredibly weak game and lost. Especially the second half was terrible. Ex-Anderlecht Jonathan Legear scored the only goal of the match.

Anderlecht took a bad start and conceded a goal after just three minutes of play: Knockaert dribbled in Anderlecht's box and passed to Legear, who had broken free from his defender Guillaume Gillet. Legear scored, even though Proto was still able to touch the ball.

The visitors took control over the game and started looking for the equaliser. Okaka, Defour and Ezekiel had a few excellent chances, but Standard defended well. Defour eventually equalised, but the linesman had (incorrectly!) flagged for offside. A valid goal had been taken from the Mauves, that still had to watch out for sharp counter attacks.

The second half was totally different. Anderlecht's level went rock bottom. The Mauves forgot to play football and Standard was even closer to a second goal than Anderlecht to the equaliser. Only Sylla had a good chance in the very last minutes, but his control was not good enough. Final score: 1-0.
