Lukaku reaches 135km/h

Last weekend, Romelu Lukaku scored a penalty kick against AA Gent. The speed of his shot was measured. The result points to a staggering 135km/h. He got the same speed as Raoul Lambert.


Lambert, player of Club Brugge during the 70s, once declared: "I once tried to place my shot and I missed. Since then, I struck it as hard as possible. Even three goalkeepers wouldn't be able to stop my effort."

The absolute top is Roberto Carlos. The Brazilian regulary managed to reach 150km/h with his efforts.
