Anderlecht was humiliated yesterday by Standard. The Mauves are now clearly in a crisis. The home side scored five goals ... Anderlecht just one. After the game, angry fans demanded the demission of coach Jacobs.

The crowd saw a strong Standard taking the lead after just 4 minutes. Leye scored with a header, from an offside position though. Anderlecht tried to react, but Bolat kept Suarez from equalising. That same Bolat also had to save his team a few times at the end of the first half. Lukaku missed in front of an open goal. Meanwhile, Proto had done his share of the work too, by keeping Tchité from scoring. Standard was also unlucky with a ball on the crossbar.

Anderlecht took a better start in the second half, but it was Standard that doubled the lead: Tchité pushed a free kick in the goal and a few minutes later he scored with an effort from 20 meters.

Anderlecht took one back with a goal of Boussoufa on a pass of Lukaku. Though at the end of the game Bokanga and Carcela brought real disaster with two more goals: 5-1 !
