Transfer Toloi "on hold" - Mbodj moving to Anderlecht?

TRANSFERS Yesterday we wrote about the two options for the defence: Kara Mbodj or Rafael Tolói. Today it seems that the club is getting closer to an agreement with Kara Mbodj and his club Racing Genk.

Normally, Toloi should have been attending the match between AA Gent and RSC Anderlecht, but today we've learnt that his doesn't go through. That might have something to do with the progress in the case Mbodj. Genk and Anderlecht are talking about a transfer in a constructive atmosphere. There is no agreement yet, but a deal seems close. Both sides are agreeing over a transfer fee of 4.5 million euro plus bonuses. 

Mbodj himself is also keen on moving to Anderlecht. The player would like to go to a larger club and in Anderlecht he can also play European football, which could facilitate a later transfer to England.

Toloi remains an option for Anderlecht though, but not the preferred one. His transfer has been put "on hold" for now. In case Mbodj is not coming to Anderlecht, his case will be started again.
