TRANSFERS English Premier League club West Brom is interested in Dennis Praet and is even prepared to pay 11 million for the player. The Mauves would like to earn 15 million on a transfer of their midfielder.

Though if club and player can reach an agreement, things can evolve rapidly. The question is whether Praet is interested in playing for West Brom. We all know that Premier League clubs are financially strong. So it's likely Praet can improve himself on financial level in England. But how about his sportive ambitions? With West Brom, the player is likely to play against relegation. European football is usually a bridge too far for West Brom.

Dennis Praet won the Belgian Golden Shoe last season, which is a reward for the best player in the Jupiler Pro League. Shortly afterwards he got injured for a few months and wasn't able to perform at level. At the start of the new season, Praet isn't in a fantastic form either, which only fed the rumours of a possible departure. A few Spanish clubs, such as Sevilla, Real Sociedad and Atletico showed interest in the past, but they didn't come further than an offer of six million euro. Back then (early July), Anderlecht wanted at least 10 million. But with Mitrovic and Mbemba sold to Newcastle, the club has more than enough financial means to do incoming transfers. Selling Praet is therefore not desirable anymore and the transfer fee increased to 15 million. West Brom now proposes 11 million, which could be a start for negotiations though.

In case Praet should leave, Mbark Boussoufa will most likely be his replacement. The former-Anderlecht midfielder is currently active for Lokomotiv Moscow, but would like to return to Brussels.
