Line Up: RSCA-Waasland Beveren

GAMES Today the league starts for RSC Anderlecht with the opening match, in Brussels, against Waasland-Beveren. Standard and Bruges already lost their game, but what will Anderlecht do? The last five years, the Mauves were only able to win two times on the opening day.

What is for sure, is that Anderlecht will play in a 4-4-2 formation instead of a 4-3-3 like last season. Suarez and Sylla will form the Brussels' attacking line, because Ezekiel is not yet authorised to play. There are still documents missing to officially subscribe him as an RSCA-player.

Mbemba isn't in the selection. He is close to a transfer to Newcastle. Mitrovic already signed for the English club. New in the team, next to Sylla, is Guillaume Gillet who has returned after playing for the French Bastia for one year. Newcomer Obradovic will take position on the left back. This probably means we'll see Dendoncker and Deschacht as central defenders (Nuytinck is lightly injured and will most likely start on the bench).

New for the fans is the "Matchday Program". The magazine got a serious make-over and will now contain a poster, more information about the club and its sponsors and it will be available in a smaller, foldable, format which allows the fans to keep it in their coat or pants pockets.

On the side of Waasland-Beveren, fans need to pay attention to the performance of Emond. The striker could count on interest of Anderlecht before, but it never came to a transfer. Will he be extra motivated? Will he try to convince RSCA that he can be of value? We'll see...
