TRANSFERS Former Anderlecht playmaker Mbark Boussoufa might return to Anderlecht after all. The Mauves are talking with the Moroccan player again, who also seems to have a dispute with the trainer of his current club, Lokomotiv Moscow.

The now almost 31 year old player came to Anderlecht (from AA Ghent) in 2006. Five years later he went to Anzhi Makhachkala, then owned by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov. When Anzhi's funds dried up, Lokomotiv bought the player in 2011.

Since last year, Boussoufa seems to be eager to leave Russia. A return to Anderlecht is one of the possibilities, but the financial aspect remains a problem. Boussoufa currently earns 4 million per year, an amount Anderlecht cannot pay. On top of that, Lokomotiv demands a transfer fee. That shouldn't be a serious issue though, especially if the Mauves can sell Mitrovic and/or Mbemba. Anderlecht's chances on landing Boussoufa increased this weekend during the Russian Supercup. Boussoufa remained on the bench during the match and ended up in a serious dispute with his trainer. This could facilitate his way out to another club...

Update: Boussoufa himself denies the news about the dispute though. According to the player he had been injured and that was the reason why he didn't play in the Russian Supercup. On Twitter, he also mentions that the relationship between him and his coach is still good.
