827 signatures against new stadium

The group “the neighbours of Anderlecht” started a petition against the new stadium. It contains 827 signatures of people who are against a new stadium. They feel it won’t fit in there.

The group says they will do everything that’s possible to stop the new stadium being built there. “We fear more dirt, vandalism, parking problems, noise, …And it also seems that, within ten years, Anderlecht will need a bigger stadium, so why not think ahead already?,” the group says.

Mayor Gaëtan Van Goidsenhoven doesn’t deny the problem. “But as from season 2010-2011, we want to limit the problems the football causes. We’ll plan a meeting for this.”
