Anderlecht to present their new stadium

Anderlecht presented their new stadium today. The football temple will look like the Allianz Arena or like Wembley. It will house 30.000 fans and offer a lot more comfort. It will cost between 40 and 50 million.


When it's finished, Anderlecht's budget will be increased with 50%. From then on, the Mauves will also be compliant with the new UEFA rules.

Further, a new parking garage will be constructed. The Mauves hope to start the construction within the next 350 days. It should be finished by 2013. The club will also limit the nuisance for the local residents.

Chairman Vanden Stock: "I'm proud. We needed to act to maintain our position in Belgium and to try and get into the European subtop again. Therefore, we could not wait on a federal decision about the stadium."
