With two matches left to go before the playoffs, Anderlecht maintains its double-digit lead over Club Brugge with an easy 2-nil victory over Charleroi. Les Mauves played a strong first half, with goals to Suarez and De Sutter.
Anderlecht started with his sharp passing game against Charleroi. Matias Suarez, who started in place of the injured Legear, immediately received a number of excellent chances. After three missed opportunities, the Argentine opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour. He headed in a corner after a Théréau deflection.

Anderlecht went on and continued his push further dominate the game. Just before the break, De Sutter, completely forgotten at the back post, took advantage of a Rnic centre to double Charleroi's misery.

After the break the tempo dropped, with Charleroi dominating possession. Charleroi was better in the game and it was a little shock when M'boyo scored. But he was offside and the goal was disallowed. Van Damme has sought and found his tenth yellow card of the season. He is therefore suspended for the final two games of the regular season.

It was all in all an easy victory. Jacobs and his men now shift their focus to the Europa Cup. Hamburg awaits this Thursday, which will be a big shift in intensity.
