What about the new stadium?

Belgium and Holland want to organise the World Cup in a few years. But, that would mean the construction of a new national stadium for the Red Devils ... and Anderlecht.


There are two options left: building a new one at the Heysel or constructing one in the Brussels neighbourhood of Schaarbeek. By December, a decision should be made. Then Anderlecht will also know whether they should enlarge the Vanden Stock Stadium, or wait for the new national stadium.

A second difficulty will be the running track, used for the Memorial Van Damme. Anderlecht manager Van Holsbeeck already announced that a track is not a problem, as long as it can disappear under the stands during the football games.
