Marcin Wasilewski’s shin-bone has been successfully operated on for the third time. During the operation a tibia-nail was planted into his shin-bone to keep it together.

The tibia-nail, a bar with bolts on top and on the bottom will be screwed, and has to stay there for a year. Now Wasilewski will have to walk on crutches for five to six weeks, but he can already start his rehabilitation. He’ll begin with stimulating his quadriceps.

After a year, the tibia-nail will be removed surgically. The right back should be able to play with the pin, but then the bolts have to be taken out (HLN).
