Schollen: "Selection totally unexpected"

National coach Frank Vercauteren added Davy Schollen to the selection to replace the injured Yves Ma-Kalambay. “A nice surprise” Schollen says in Gazet van Antwerpen.

"It’s been three years since I played for the national team. I heard the news when I put on my cell phone in the morning. I was expected at 10am, but had to go to Anderlecht first to pick up my things. This was so unexpected, so I had nothing with me,” he said.

"This selection is thanks to the last games I played for Anderlecht. This shows your reward may come with a delay. The keeper-trainer also told me he saw the game against Lyon.”
