Manager Van Holsbeeck and coach Jacobs were both outraged after the game against Standard. "I've seen things that don't belong on a football field today", said the manager.

"Last season, Standard's goalkeeper already knocked Boussoufa into the hospital with a broken jaw. This season, we lose two players with serious injuries. I sincerly hope their career is not over."

"You cannot become a big club by winning just two titles in a row. A champion needs to carry out some ethics. They must set an example. And what an example Standard set today..."

Also Ariel Jacobs was boiling with anger. My players were in shock at half time. No one spoke a word. What happened is terrible. About the game, I can only say we played too naieve after the red card of Witsel.
