Kouyaté: "Can handle level at Anderlecht"

Cheikhou Kouyaté made a strong impression during the game against Knokke this weekend. Last season he played on loan at Kortrijk. “I really needed that year,” he says.

"At Kortrijk I got stronger, physically as well as in a tactic way. I feel ready for the real work. Of course there is a lot of competition on the midfield, but that doesn’t scare me,” says Kouyaté in Het Nieuwsblad.

"As a young player there is also some rivalry between me and Bouba. Whether one of us should play on loan? I’d be disappointed if the club wants to rent me again. I can handle the level at Anderlecht,” the midfielder decides.
