The new central defender Ondrej Mazuch (20) signed his contract yesterday to play on loan for one season at Anderlecht. He'll play with number 2.If RSCA would like to buy him afterwards, they’ll have to pay 1.3 million euros.

The ink was barely dry or Anderlecht feared another Frutos-case. Yesterday Mazuch trained for the first time, but he had to leave injured.

At the end of the training Mazuch had to defend on Tom De Sutter and Kanu. He won a couple of fierce duels when he suddenly had to stop because he was in pain. Mazuch suffered from a pain under the knee. One of the physical therapists took care of him, but he still couldn’t train again. With a big pack of ice on his leg he went back inside. Everyone at Anderlecht feared the worst.

Luckily for Anderlecht and the player it was false alarm. More fear than pain. Anderlecht didn’t mention this on their website, but doctor Kristof Sas reassured everyone.
”It’s a small injury at the tendon of his knee,” said Sas yesterday evening. “Something Ondrej got on training, but it’s possible he’ll train again tomorrow (read: today).”

Besides that, Mazuch was very active on training.
