Official calendar season 2009-2010

In Brussels, the new calendar of the Jupiler Pro League 2009-2010 has been presented. Anderlecht start their season against Kortrijk, so not at home against Roeselare. Standard will play against Sint-Truiden in Liège.

The clubs reached an agreement on Saturday. They decided to work with a “top-day system” like in The Netherlands. That’s why on day 5 (29/08), Anderlecht plays at home against Standard, when at the same time the derby in Bruges will take place.

Remarkable is that there will also be games on Wednesday. The first time is on September 23 (day 8). And on Wednesday December 30 day 21 will be played. Then a short winter break follows until January 15. The second round ends in March.
