Inter close to a deal with Kompany

Italian giants Internazionale have moved a step closer to signing young Belgian defender Vincent Kompany. Chelsea have also been eyeing the talented 18-year-old but Inter have already held talks with his club side Anderlecht.


Inter have offered to loan the Belgian side Isah Eliakwu and Lampos Choutos, who they expect to sign from Olympiakos.
The two sides have reportedly agreed to meet again next week to discuss a deal in more detail.

Kompany recently penned a two-year deal with Anderlecht to extend his current contract until 2008.
