It will be difficult for Anderlecht to obtain the title. The first leg of the test games ended on a 1-1 draw in the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium. Jonathan Legear and Dieumerci Mbokani scored.

Anderlecht took a bad start resulting in a ball on the upright for Standard. Later on in the game, they would also hit the crossbar. Anderlecht could only restore balance after 15 minutes and created a few small chances.

Gillet had to be replaced with an injury (by Legear). Standard defender Mikulic took a yellow card and will be suspended for the next game.

The second half was a lot better. Anderlecht created pressure and Legear scored the opening goal on a center of Deschacht: 1-0. But nine minutes later, Mbokani headed the equaliser against the net.

Boussoufa had the best chance to bring Anderlecht ahead again after a mistake of goalkeeper Bolat, but Onyewu saved his shot. Mikulic then took his second yellow card and was sent off, but Anderlecht didn't have enough time to take advantage of it.
