For the second time, Mbark Boussoufa has won the Ebony Boot. The 24-year old midfielder beats Copa (Lokeren), Asare (KV Mechelen), Mbokani (Standard) and Sarr (Standard).

Didier Drogba especially came to Belgium to give Mbark the Ebony Boot during the gala-evening in the Marriott Hotel in Brussels. On the rol of honour he succeeds Marouane Fellaine (ex-Standard). Boussoufa already won the trophy in 2006.

“I’m very happy,” Mbark reacts. “And I thank everyone who voted for me. To me this price is very important. And because I’m Moroccan, I also feel it’s important to represent the African football.
