Anderlecht defeated Club Brugge tonight. The final score was 1-0 with a goal of Boussoufa in the first half. The Mauves played a decent game and forgot to double the lead. That way, the game was exciting until the end.

The match started with two yellow cards in the first two minutes. One for Van Damme and one for Geraerts after hard tackles. Anderlecht took control over the match and created several good chances. Eventually, it was Boussoufa who opened the score with a shot in the far corner. The pace was high and Club Brugge could only create one chance on a free kick. Anderlecht kept on wasting the chances, so at the break the lead was rather narrow.

In the second half, the visitors tried to do something about the score, but the Anderlecht defense had everything under control. The best chances were even for the home team via De Sutter and wasilewski. Brugge only had one good opportunity to equalise, but Schollen saved Sonck's header. That same Sonck could also threaten Schollen in the last minute, but score remained at 1-0.
