Anderlecht defeated Germinal Beerschot yesterday with 2-0. It was the first time in 10 games that GBA lost. Wasilewski and Suàrez scored the goals. Though, it certainly wasn't an easy victory for the home-side.

GBA took the best start and created five chances in just five minutes time. The best ones where for Haroun, who missed twice and for Bart Goor who's effort struck the upright.

After 30 minutes, Anderlecht took control over the game. Biglia, Losada and Vlcek had a few decent chances. Losada's shot went off the post back into play and Vlcek completely missed the rebound in front of an empty goal.

After the break, GBA again created a good chance. Bart Goor dribbled through the heart of the Anderlecht defense, but missed.

After one hour of play, Anderlecht opened the score. On a corner kick, the ball remained in the box and Wasilewski scored in a scrimage: 1-0.

GBA reacted with Haroun, but he wasn't able to head Goor's center against the net. Also Van Dooren had a good opportunity to level the score. But on the counter attack, Suarez decided the game: 2-0.
