Frutos: "I only want to play without injuries"

Nicolas Frutos can gradually start his rehabilitation. “I’m not hurried to play again,” he says. “The only thing I want right now, is to play again without injuries.” Frutos is rehabilitating in Argentina.

There he works with doctor Mendoza again. He also gave an interview to the local newspaper El Litoral. Frutos talks about his time at Anderlecht. He arrived there 3,5 years ago, but only played 6 months without an injury.

Because of his injury he also fears that he can forget about his big dream. “My biggest fear is that if I don’t get the chance to compete for a place in the national team for the world championship next year,” he says. “There aren’t a lot of international games left to play and I have to rehabilitate for a while.. Being selected by Maradona would be a dream come true.”
