Anderlecht - SVZW: 2-0

Last night, Anderlecht easily dispatched of Zulte Waregem 2-0. The result was never in doubt after early goals from De Sutter and Wasilewski. The Paarswit reclaim the two point lead at the top of the Belgian Pro League.

Despite not training on Friday due to a stomach bug, Jan Polak made the starting lineup. Coach Jacobs preferred Iakovenko over Legear on the left flank, and Biglia and De Sutter returned to the starting line-up.

On the third minute, a Boussoufa cross from the left could only be grazed by De Sutter's head, and Gillet could not pounce on the rebound. However on a second attempt three minutes later, the Boussoufa-De Sutter connection finally opened the scoring for Anderlecht. It was the former Cercle Brugge striker's fifth goal for his new club.

Boussoufa could have made it 2-0 on the 20th minute but his effort was ruled off-side. A typical Wasilewski header from a Biglia free kick doubled the lead.

It was a first half that was dominated by the 'Prince of Anderlecht', Boussoufa. The second half however was filled with missed opportunities, with Gillet missing a one-on-one effort in the 63rd minute, and De Sutter unable to double his tally a few minutes later.

Wasilewski received a yellow card in the 78th minute, and as a result will not be available for selection next week against Mechelen.
