Legear doensn’t count on being selected by Vandereycken

Tonight, the Red Devils will play a friendly game against Slovenia, but Jonathan Legear won’t be a part of the selection. “I don’t understand. It’s not logical,” he says in the papers.

”As long as René Vandereycken is coach, I won’t be selected. I’ll have to wait for the next one,” says Legear. “But I’ll be honest, I reall hope Belgium will go to the WC. I also don’t have any personal problems with Vandereycken. I haven’t even talked to him yet. With Frank Vercauteren I had an excellent contact. But his advise doesn’t seem important enough.”

If he would play each game, he might have been selected. “I doubt it,” says Legear. “With respect for Van Buyten, he’s been on the bench for 8 games and he can play. This proves that playing all the time isn’t a criteria. Even when I was top at Anderlecht, I wasn’t selected.”

Note: Legear changed his tattoo. In stead of Vini the tattoo says Veni ,Vidi, Vici.
