Vanden Stock confirms stadium enlargement

Anderlecht will enlarge their current stadium. The total capacity will be slightly over 30,000 seats. Chairman Roger Vanden Stock confirms: "This project will be going. No one can stop it."


"There will be two new floors on top of the existing ones. Our main terrace will be renovated and the stands will disappear. The plans aren't final yet, because we are still waiting on the needed permissions. But I'm not expecting any problems. The works will be finished by the season 2013-2014. In the meantime, the team can keep on playing in the Vanden Stock Stadium."
