Former Anderlecht manager Michel Verschueren was rushed to the hospital today when he started feeling unwell. First, it was thought he had a heart attack, but further examination ruled that out.

The hospital confirmed Verschueren's hospitalisation, but is unable to give more information about his condition since further examinations are still going on.

Verschueren was manager of Anderlecht between 1981 and 2003. He realised the construction of the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, won 11 titles, 3 cups and one UEFA Cup. In 2003, he was replaced by Herman Van Holsbeeck.
