The Brazilian Reinaldo experienced a true adventure in his home country in January. When he wanted to return to Belgium, he was robbed by a taxi driver at the airport.

“I was on my way from Arapiraca to the airport,” Reinaldo explains in Het Nieuwsblad. “When I arrived at the bus stop, a taxi driver started following me. He screamed at a friend, they both grabbed me and tried to steal my luggage with clothes and CD’s. They also wanted to take my money and cell phone. Eventually I could run, but they kept chasing me.

The player also ended up with an injury at his shoulder. The wound got infected and an operation was needed. “I was in the hospital for two days and got some antibiotics. Now I started running again,” says Reinaldo.
