Aruna wins trophy of Professional footballer of the year

Ivorian Coast striker Aruna Dindane, got elected for the trophy "Professional footballer of the year". 398 players out of 450 did gave away their counts, a record for the Belgian Championship.

The Golden Shoe of 2003 succeeds Timmy Simons (Club Bruges) on the table of laureates, which was published for the 21ste time. Aruna Dindane, who received 448 points, came behind his teammate Vincent Kompany (233 points). Kompany, 18 since 10th of April, went before 23 year old Pieroni, the best striker (27 goals and 195 points) of the Belgian competition. Kompany did get his reward as 'Young professional player of the year'.

Hugo Broos was elected as best trainer of the year, while Par Zetterberg received a fair play price.
